THE LITTLE BUG

"There's a tiny, little bug flying around in here" she said.

Honestly, I couldn't see the bug.... neither could our daughter McKensie, who paused her project on the laptop computer in order to help scan the room with her 9-year old super vision.
Karen was certain she had spotted some sort of very small bug, and she wasn't about to give up her search.

The three of us slowly surveyed the room... but saw no bug. After a few minutes, Karen seemed to accept that the bug had obviously hidden itself somewhere in the drapes or furniture, never to be seen again.

I went back to reading....McKensie resumed her project on the computer....Karen patiently kept scanning the room.

Suddenly, "There it is!" she exclaimed...."Everybody be still"...."It's landed on the computer, and I can see it moving across the screen."
She walked over and tried to smash it with her thumb...."It's moving faster than I can catch it" she said.

McKensie calmly chimed in, "Mommy, you're trying to smash the little curser arrow on the computer screen."

Without glancing up, I said, "McKensie, why don't you get Mommy's glasses for her?"
Karen quietly walked away.

The bug was never seen again.

So, why are the daffodils pictured here, you might ask?
Well, my wife really loves daffodils....
And chances are she'll read this essay.
She'll like the photo.
