STILL MISCHIEVOUS AFTER ALL THESE YEARS

I just couldn't pass up sharing a message I got from my sister.
I've written before about my big sister Sara.
And by "big" I mean slightly older. She's not big.... in fact, she's skinny.
She is, however, super prim and proper.... married to the distinguished doctor in our family.
She's the one who grabbed a hat off my head inside a casual little catfish place.... "not the proper thing", she exclaimed.
I wrote about that in THE COMPULSIONS OF A LITTLE BROTHER.
After reading my previous blog on the Oscars, Sara sent me an email.
I'll paraphrase what she wrote.
She said she had not seen any of the nominated movies, so she really couldn't even guess at the winners.
However, she said she loved that touching song that won the Oscar.
She said she goes around all day humming the tune, and just can't get the words out of her mind.
Here's the thing.
I'm pretty sure she thinks that beautiful song "In the Deep" from "Crash" won.
Of course, you and I know "It's Hard Out Here For A Pimp" was the actual winner.
If you're down in Augusta, and you see Sara at a social gathering, don't correct her.
Just let her tell her friends how much she loved that Oscar winning song.
And.... I could be wrong.... maybe it really is "It's Hard Out Here For A Pimp" she's been humming and singing around the house.
