THE MARS CREATURE

This strange looking photo from Mars continues to be my favorite picture of the year.

So now, NASA is saying it's nothing more than a feature of the "atmosphere" on Mars.
It is, they say, an oddly shaped little rock, no more than 2 inches high, carved that way by the Martian winds.

Come on NASA.... you're taking all the fun out of this thing. Such a party-pooper.
Play along a little bit.
In a world filled with so much unpleasant stuff that we'd rather not even think about, maybe -- at least for a while -- NASA should leave it at, "We have no idea what it is!"

Heck, I'm still not real clear about that mysterious "face" on Mars that was photographed more than 30 years ago by NASA's Viking Orbiter.

A lot of weird stuff going on there on the old red planet.

And you gotta admit, there's an eerie similarity between the Mars "creature" and Bigfoot.

I don't know... my jury is still out on this "wind-driven rock" explanation offered by the space agency.

Sometimes, it's a lot more fun to wonder.
