Don't ask me how, but every now and then I can judge a book by it's cover.
------------
Isn't it odd that the Nashville Sounds are the minor league farm team for the Milwaukee Brewers -- while the Milwaukee Admirals are the minor league club for Nashville's major league hockey team, the Predators.
------------
Did you know that the population of Nashville, within the actual city limits, is larger than the population of Atlanta (within it's city limits) - by more than 120,000 people?
------------
Is there any conversation more fascinating and revealing than the dialogue between dolls, created and spoken by a little girl? The words and phrases often are lifted straight from the mouths of grownups around them..... so we must be careful.
------------
I don't like to return or exchange any purchase or gift, and can probably count on one hand the times I've ever done it. On the other hand, I'm fairly certain that my wife doesn't mind -- even enjoys -- the process.
------------
Most times when it's raining, I find it easier to just hurry to the car without using an umbrella.
I usually get just as wet, or wetter, trying to close an umbrella and get it inside the car.
------------
Someone pointed out to me the other day that it's impossible to lick your elbow. The need for me to do that has never come up --- but I think it's true!
I think it's also impossible to lick the back of your head.
------------
What's more annoying than someone standing in a parking place, holding it for a car that hasn't even arrived yet?
------------
I wonder why there's never been a successful female host on a late night network TV talk show, like Carson, Letterman, Leno, Conan etc. If she chose to do it, I believe Oprah could become a late night legend. Of course, why would she give up her daytime empire to do that?
------------
I probably understand about 5% of the things my computer can do. The rest of the stuff, I just ignore.
------------
When waiting for an elevator, even when someone has just pushed the button, I always feel compelled to push it again. But I don't think it really makes it arrive any faster.
------------
What's happened to Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood? Are they in such a blissful relationship that they've just given up performing altogether?
------------
Why does TV always find it necessary to show the two head coaches meeting and shaking hands after a football or basketball game? It's not the most compelling thing to see, and it never amounts to anything.
Of course, if we could hear what they say to each other, that might be interesting.
